Oct 5th - HSOC AGM - provisional date
Tudor Arms Slimbridge, Gloucestershire. The Tudor Arms is a pub with a campsite at the rear down a lane about half a mile from the Slimbridge Wetlands Centre. With a canal running alongside too it’s a lovely location.
The actual meeting will be on the Saturday afternoon in the ‘barn’ side room of the pub. The club will need to get numbers of attendees nearer the time as we plan to lay on sandwiches for those attending the meeting. It doesn’t look like we will be able to Zoom the meeting so it’s in person only.
The campsite is behind the pub (run separately) with the full range of facilities for those with motorhomes too (some of us have already booked in The Orchard area for the whole weekend) but for those who prefer there are rooms in the Tudor Arms itself. They cost around £260 for double room for two nights B&B. There’s only a dozen rooms so do book soon if you want one. Of course you can just come for the day, go to the meeting and enjoy a nice meal in the pub with super company afterwards!
At present there are no plans for any formal rally type ride outs over the weekend as the focus is the AGM but there may well be more spontaneous outings as the location lends itself to such things. The campsite allows dogs and the pub will allow them in the barn for our meeting, but they are not allowed in the main restaurant area of the pub. For more information about the Tudor Arms or camping go to their websites:
